workshop facilitated by Lynda Kennedy

6:15pm to 7:30pm
The Reginald Murphy Centre, Potts Point
$19 (includes all materials)

What’s it all about?
Sometimes we struggle to insert meaning into our artwork, but what if the artwork itself says something profound or inspiring before we even start? Take a favourite line from a poem or song to include in the creative piece you will make in class. Anyone can accomplish this style of work, come along and be surprised at how easy and fun it is to create your own finished inspirational art typography to frame.

What’s it all about?
So what is a mandala? It is the ancient Indian sanskrit word for circle, no beginning and no end, it represents wholeness. The mandala is a circular design that appears to us in all aspects of life, the Earth, the Sun, the Moon, and nature, just take a closer look at a flower and you’ll see the magnificence of the circle. Drawing mandalas is about slowing down and opening up to your inner creative and intuitive flow and to have fun and relax. You don’t have to be good at drawing to learn how to draw a mandala. Mandala creation is for everyone, it is a creative practice that is great for your brain, your heart and your soul, It relaxes the mind, and restores a sense of balance.
